AGX 2026 Blended Format Conference: From Geographic Theory to Practice in the Age of AI examines how geographic concepts, methods, and technologies are being translated into practical responses to contemporary social, environmental, economic, and infrastructural challenges. The conference emphasizes the continuing importance of spatial thinking, geographic expertise, and human judgment as artificial intelligence becomes more deeply integrated into research, policy, planning, and professional practice.
Through its combined in-person and online format, AGX 2026 will bring together researchers, practitioners, educators, students, and community partners to share theoretical advances, applied studies, technical innovations, and critical perspectives on the evolving relationship between geography and AI.
Registration for AGX 2026 is $125 for professionals and $60 for students. A single registration provides access to both components of the blended conference: the in-person meeting in Pittsburgh on November 5–6 and the online conference on November 12–13. Registration payments are processed through PayPal; however, participants may pay directly with a credit or debit card without creating a PayPal account. The registration deadline is October 12, 2026.
